About PRE
About Professional Roofing Encyclopedia (PRE)
The Professional Roofing Encyclopedia (PRE) is an authoritative, graph-driven knowledge base built to explain roofing systems, components, and concepts with absolute clarity and factual accuracy.
Our Mission
PRE explains roofing. It does not sell roofing. We provide durable, authoritative knowledge for homeowners, contractors, inspectors, and insurance professionals without bias or sales motives.
Network Disclosure
PRE is part of a larger roofing industry ecosystem that includes PRS (a roofing service provider) and a broader marketplace network.
Those business entities do not influence encyclopedia content. PRE operates strictly as an independent informational resource. We do not capture leads, promote specific contractors, or sell services.
How PRE Works
PRE is structured as a knowledge graph. Rather than a collection of disjointed blog articles, every entry in PRE is connected. When you read about Asphalt Shingles, you are immediately connected to the specific underlayments, flashing requirements, and common failure modes associated with them.
